Golden Beach

The town of Golden Beach is located on a barrier island in northeast Miami-Dade County, Florida, bounded by the Atlantic Ocean and the landscaped inlets of the Intracoastal Waterway and the city of Aventura on the west, with the community of Sunny Isles Beach just to the south. A quiet, exclusive oasis of just over 1.3 miles (only four blocks from east to west), comprised of 370 single-family homes most located directly along its landscaped coastlines Golden Beach offers the ultimate in upscale living. Residents are united by a distinct sense of community and by their love of the privacy and serenity of this coastal paradise.

One of the most desirable locales in South Florida, Golden Beach has maintained the founding principles that date back to its origins in the 1920s. Quiet family life is highly valued here. Commercial activity is forbidden within town borders, along with the construction of high-rise towers that have obscured so much of the South Florida beachfront. From its inception, Golden Beach was meant to provide respite from the bustling crowds and skyscraper condominiums and hotels found in popular resort cities. The town is positioned between Fort Lauderdale and Miami, close enough for easy access to metropolitan amenities with enough distance to keep the urban cacophony at bay. A number of celebrities keep homes there. The Eric Clapton album "461 Ocean Boulevard" was named for the Golden Beach house at that address.
